"We understand as few others can... "

The Al-Anon Fellowship

Clearly, Al-Anon offers many ways to reach out for the loving support and comfort each of us needs and deserves. By coming together, we gain strength and confidence. We learn that we are not really unique, and we find hope for ourselves in the progress we see all around us. But fellowship is just one part of our story of healing and change.

* Reprinted in part with permission of Al-Anon Family Group Headquarters, Inc. How Al-Anon Works.

Al-Anon is a "we" program. Even newcomers at their first meeting will feel that they are not alone. Each one of us is part of the fellowship, where we come together for mutual help. Friendships are built over time and the fellowship becomes a second family. An Al-Anon member may walk into any meeting anywhere in the world and feel welcome and at home. We keep in touch with each other between meetings; members will get together or go out for coffee or a bite to eat after a meeting. We are a part of a fellowship that accepts us for who we are, we are not judged and we feel loved. In the fellowship we receive support, understanding, encouragement and help is there when we reach out.
